The Artemis team has a great deal of experience related to the design, manufacture, and delivery of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), from small multirotor to large fixed-wings VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) systems for range of clients and applications on a global scale.
With a combined experience of more than 100 years, Artemis personnel have set about solving the challenges in the UAS industry, such as limited flight times, low-payload capacities, and aerodynamic efficiency. As a team, we have design and produced versatile uncrewed technologies, offering highly capable systems at far lower cost than competitors, bringing true value to customers.
Through our collective experience in the UAS industry, we have found that many potential clients are interested in Uncrewed Systems that can perform missions at Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) distances. We believe that through working with companies in the advanced electric propulsion sector and leading-edge battery manufacturers, we can offer highly capable all-electric and hybrid UAS.
With the recent up-take in requirement for high-attrition systems, we believe our team has both the experience and adaptability to meet these challenges and become one of the major players in Defense supply.
In terms of our portfolio, we will be looking to offer various platforms for different use cases, both high-end and high-attrition platforms. These will be comprised of VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing), Pneumatic / Vehicle, Winch, and Hand-Launched platforms.
Our systems will be designed to be modular – we will offer base platforms which can be tailored to the individual requirements for tenders and individual clients. By having a modular design that can be adapted to meet the requirements of various scopes and use-cases, we will be able to produce platforms in quantity, significantly reducing overall material costs.
We have existing relations with and have identified several more strategic partners in the U.S. who can assist us with the initial set-up of the business, with a view to supply systems in mid to late 2024.
Based on previous experience with building high-end UAS, the profit margins are high, however they are generally ordered in lower quantities, but this is entirely dependent on tender scopes, requirements, and additional equipment.
While high-attrition systems have a lower margin, they are classed as disposable assets that are ordered in bulk, with expected recurring orders from clients.
